This certificate is the most concrete backing for a quality claim: the technical values of the product are measured in an accredited laboratory using ASTM test methods. Every shipment is accompanied by the certificate of analysis (CoA) for its batch.
A management system certificate shows that the process is audited, not just a single batch. ISO 9001 documents that every step from production planning to shipment is defined and traceable; ISO/IEC 17025 documents that product values are measured in an accredited laboratory.
The second one matters especially to us: a quality claim only means something when it is backed by independent measurement.
