FIG. 01 · SHP50 · Iodine adsorption number 50 ± 3 g/kg

SHP50 carbon black is a specialty product positioned outside the ASTM N series. It is a medium-structure reinforcing grade that gives rubber compounds high tensile strength, adequate tear resistance and good processability.

Compared with N550

Compared with N550, SHP50 has higher jetness and relatively improved mechanical and abrasion properties. This makes it an intermediate solution for applications that expect both coloring and reinforcement.

Its place in plastics

Thanks to its particle size distribution and balanced structure, it performs well in the production of extruded products; it is also widely used for pipe and profile production in the plastics sector.

Low sulfur and low ash

SHP50 has a sulfur content of at most 0.5% and an ash content of at most 0.60%, markedly below the standard N-series grades (2% and 0.75% respectively). This makes it a preferred choice in applications that are sensitive to impurities.

Applications

Polymer compounds, extruded rubber products, plastic pipe and profile production.

Frequently Asked Questions About This Product

What is the difference between SHP50 and N550?

Compared with N550, SHP50 has higher jetness and relatively improved mechanical and abrasion properties. It is an intermediate solution for applications that expect both coloring and reinforcement.

How low are the sulfur and ash contents of SHP50?

SHP50 has a sulfur content of at most 0.5% and an ash content of at most 0.60%, markedly below the standard N-series grades (2% and 0.75% respectively). This makes it a preferred choice in applications that are sensitive to impurities.

What packaging is SHP50 available in?

SHP50 is supplied in 1,000 kg double-valve PP-PE jumbo bags. A 20' container takes 10 pallets (10,000 kg), a 40' container 20 pallets (20,000 kg) and a truck 22 pallets (22,000 kg). If you need kraft paper bags, send us your request and we will check availability.

Does SHP50 come with a certificate of analysis and a safety data sheet?

Yes. Every shipment is sent with a certificate of analysis (CoA) for that batch, issued by an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory. We send the safety data sheet (SDS) on request; if you would like to see a sample report before ordering, you can ask for one through the quote form.
